The Thunder Bay Border Cats' Cawley Lamb comes through in the clutch, upends the St. Cloud Rox, 3-2

Payden Cawley Lamb brought home the winning run to give the Thunder Bay Border Cats (12-14) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Thunder Bay Border Cats hung on to beat the St. Cloud Rox (5-19) 3-2 on Monday.

Justin Higley was hit by a pitch to start the seventh. He then went from first to third on a single by James Bonds. Finally, Cawley Lamb came to the plate with the score tied at two, and singled, bringing home Higley.

Patrick Gallagher led the Thunder Bay Border Cats' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Woody Nisbet pitched lights out for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Nisbet held the St. Cloud Rox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Keaton Siomkin was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Thunder Bay Border Cats batters and allowing two runs.

Blake Fonfara recorded his third win of the year for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. He allowed two runs over six innings. Fonfara struck out two, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Will Flor (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
