An awesome effort by Craig Massoni led the Mankato MoonDogs (20-7) to a 6-1 win over the Willmar Stingers (16-11) on Monday at Franklin Rogers Park.

Massoni blasted two home runs for the Mankato MoonDogs. Massoni went 2-2 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Massoni homered in the first and fifth innings.

The Mankato MoonDogs scored three runs in the first inning to build an early lead.

The Willmar Stingers had no answer for Wayland Moore, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Moore gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Andrew Pulido (2-2) took the loss for the Willmar Stingers. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four.
