Ewing gives the Wisconsin Woodchucks late push to beat the Battle Creek Bombers, 4-2

Skyler Ewing drove in the winning run to give the Wisconsin Woodchucks (11-13) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Wisconsin Woodchucks hung on to beat the Battle Creek Bombers (10-14) 4-2 on Friday.

With the score tied at two in the seventh inning, Ewing came to the plate and homered, plating J.D. Davis.

Ewing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He singled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Benny Suarez pitched lights out for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. Suarez held the Battle Creek Bombers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Dylan Rheault was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Wisconsin Woodchucks batters and allowing two runs.

Trey Popp (0-1) took the loss for the Battle Creek Bombers. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
