The Alexandria Beetles (8-15) shut the door early on the Mankato MoonDogs (18-6), capturing a 12-3 victory on Friday at Knute Nelson Memorial Park.

An RBI single by Ryan Padilla during the first inning and a two-run home run by Sean OHare, an RBI double by Dylan Raper, and an RBI double by Johnny Tolson in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Alexandria Beetles.Tanner Vavra racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Alexandria Beetles. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.
Ali Simpson struck out six hitters en route to the the Alexandria Beetles win. Simpson allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks over five innings.
