The bats were busy at C.O. Brown Stadium on Thursday, and when the dust cleared the Battle Creek Bombers (10-13) had a 12-9 win over the Wisconsin Woodchucks (10-13).
The two teams combined for 24 hits in the game.
Sikes Orvis racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Battle Creek Bombers. He doubled in the third and fourth innings and singled in the fifth inning.
Brendon Hayden racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Brian Thene recorded his first win of the year for the Battle Creek Bombers. He allowed four runs over 2 1/3 innings. Thene struck out none, walked two and gave up four hits.
Austin Pettibone (0-1) took the loss for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked none and struck out three.
