Collin Shaw drove in the go-ahead run to give the Green Bay Bullfrogs (13-9) the lead in the sixth inning, as the Green Bay Bullfrogs hung on to beat the Madison Mallards (9-13) 3-2 on Wednesday.
David Armendariz singled to start the sixth. He then went from second to third on an RBI single by Duncan McAlpine. Finally, Shaw came to the plate with the score tied at one, and grounded out, scoring Armendariz.The Green Bay Bullfrogs held off the Madison Mallards, as the Madison Mallards were unable to overcome a two-run ninth inning deficit.
The Madison Mallards scored one run in the ninth on a groundout by Tom Lally. Despite their efforts, the Madison Mallards couldn't finish the comeback.
The Green Bay Bullfrogs got the win thanks in large part to Taylor Black's dominant, four-strikeout performance. Black allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over five innings.
Brandon Barker (0-3) took the loss for the Madison Mallards. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
