Things looked bleak for the Wisconsin Woodchucks (10-12) when they trailed by two runs in the ninth inning, but the Wisconsin Woodchucks recovered thanks to a key double in the ninth inning from J.D. Davis to pull out a 15-11 win over the Lakeshore Chinooks (10-12) at Kapco Park.

With the Wisconsin Woodchucks trailing by one in the ninth inning, Davis came to the plate and doubled, plating Brooks Braga and Gage Green.

Davis racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Offense was not hard to come by on on Wednesday, as both teams combined for 26 runs and 32 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using eight pitchers in total.

The Lakeshore Chinooks couldn't slow down Madison Carter, who paced the Wisconsin Woodchucks with five hits. He singled in the second, third, fifth, eighth, and ninth innings.

Jordan Jess got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He allowed one run over two innings. Jess struck out three, walked three and gave up one hit.

Tyler Sparger (1-2) took the loss for the Lakeshore Chinooks. He allowed six runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.
