The Rochester Honkers (13-19)'s four first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home an 8-6 win over the Alexandria Beetles (11-21) on Tuesday at Mayo Field.

The Rochester Honkers would not relinquish the lead as the Alexandria Beetles were unable to weather a seven-run fourth inning deficit.

The Alexandria Beetles scored on a three-run home run by Ryan Padilla in the sixth inning, a two-run double by Padilla in the eighth inning, and an error in the ninth inning. Still, the Alexandria Beetles couldn't draw even.

Reid Roper racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Rochester Honkers. He homered in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.

Chris Noble got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Noble struck out one, walked four and gave up six hits.

Steve Weber was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out three.
