After five lead changes in Monday's game at Mayo Field, the Mankato MoonDogs (25-7) finally pulled out a 11-6 win over the Rochester Honkers (13-19).
Trey Nielsen racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Mankato MoonDogs. He doubled in the fifth innings, homered in the seventh inning, and singled in the eighth inning.
Derek Howell looked sharp on the mound. The Rochester Honkers managed just one hit off of Howell, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out five during his three innings of work.
Tim Zufall racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Rochester Honkers. He homered in the sixth inning.
Even though Adam Mott allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. Mott struck out two, walked none and gave up nine hits.
Jordan Milbrath ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
