The Mankato MoonDogs (6-2) and the Thunder Bay Border Cats (3-5) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Mankato MoonDogs that eventually took advantage of them in a 6-2 win at Franklin Rogers Park.

The Thunder Bay Border Cats couldn't get anything going so long as Trevor Belicek was on the hill. The Thunder Bay Border Cats managed just one hit off of the the Mankato MoonDogs' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
Brett Kay was hot from the plate for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Kay went 2-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Ty Taylor recorded his second win of the year for the Mankato MoonDogs. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Taylor struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.
Blake Fonfara was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
