A five-run explosion in the fourth inning lifted the Thunder Bay Border Cats (3-5) to a 7-1 win over the Alexandria Beetles at Subway Field on Tuesday.
Wes Parsons picked up the win for the Thunder Bay Border Cats. Parsons pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out two.
The Alexandria Beetles (2-6) were led by Dylan Raper's hitting. Raper went 3-4. He singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.
Michael Reed (1-1) took the loss for the Alexandria Beetles. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
