The Duluth Huskies (4-2) and the Mankato MoonDogs (4-2) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Duluth Huskies capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out an 8-7 win at Wade Stadium.

The Duluth Huskies would not relinquish the lead as the Mankato MoonDogs were unable to weather a seven-run fourth inning deficit.

The Mankato MoonDogs scored on an RBI single by Blair Moore in the fifth inning, an error, an RBI single by Jorge Flores, and a sacrifice fly by Moore in the sixth inning, and a solo home run by Flores in the eighth inning. Unfortunately, the Mankato MoonDogs weren't able to take the lead back.

Max Duval racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Duluth Huskies. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Joey Novak recorded his second win for the Duluth Huskies even though he allowed six runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Kyle McGrath (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
