The Battle Creek Bombers (8-7) didn't have a chance on Thursday, as the Madison Mallards (6-9) won in blowout fashion, 7-1 at Warner Park.

The Madison Mallards scored three runs in the second on an RBI single by Tyler Marincov, a two-run single by Marincov, and a single by Jeff Zimmerman.

Zimmerman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Madison Mallards.

Matt LaMothe pitched lights out for the Madison Mallards. The Battle Creek Bombers managed just three hits off of the the Madison Mallards' pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Jeremy Shay led the Battle Creek Bombers' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Kyle Teague (1-1) took the loss for the Battle Creek Bombers. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
