The St. Cloud Rox outlast the Duluth Huskies in high-scoring affair, 10-9

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the St. Cloud Rox (1-1) outscored the Duluth Huskies (1-1) 10-9.

The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game.

The St. Cloud Rox held off the Duluth Huskies, as the Duluth Huskies were unable to overcome a nine-run fifth inning deficit.

The Duluth Huskies scored on a three-run error, a two-run single by Taylor Burch, and a wild pitch in the fifth inning and a wild pitch and a two-run home run by Michael Suitor in the ninth inning. Still, the Duluth Huskies couldn't draw even.

Adam Martin racked up two RBIs on three hits for the St. Cloud Rox. He singled in the second and fifth innings and homered in the sixth inning.

Will Flor put together a nice outing. The Duluth Huskies managed just two hits off of Flor, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Joey Webb ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked five and struck out six.
