The La Crosse Loggers (1-1) and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (1-1) each put runners in scoring position on Wednesday, but the La Crosse Loggers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-3 win at Witter Field.

Juliene Jones had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters had no answer for Jacob Dorris, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Dorris held the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Alex Bacon racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. He homered in the fourth inning.

Alex Gunn got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over six innings. Gunn struck out one, walked none and gave up nine hits.

Tommy Organ couldn't get it done on the hill for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out 11.
