The Quebec City (3-2) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Manitoba (2-3) on Saturday, as the Quebec City fell 4-3 at Midget Municipal Stadium after falling behind by two runs in the third inning.
The Quebec City scored one run in the fourth on an error. Unfortunately, the Quebec City weren't able to take the lead back.
Nelson Quark paced the Manitoba at the plate. Quark went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings.
Ben Onyshko looked sharp on the mound. Onyshko held the Quebec City hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Bryce Watson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Manitoba. He allowed three runs over five innings. Watson struck out six, walked six and gave up two hits.
