A four-run explosion in the first inning hoisted the Quebec City (4-3) to a 7-0 win in seven innings over the New Brunswick (3-3) at Midget Parc Henri-Casault on Friday.
David Glaude racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Quebec City. He singled in the second innings and doubled in the fourth inning.
The New Brunswick had no answer for Olivier Dolbec, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Dolbec gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
