Jerome Duchesneau went 1-1 as the Quebec City (1-1) took home a 2-0 victory over the Saskatchewan (1-1) in seven innings at Midget Municipal Stadium on Thursday.
He singled in the third inning.Alex Clavet had an impressive outing against the Saskatchewan's lineup. The Saskatchewan managed just one hit off of Clavet, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
A bright spot for the Saskatchewan in the defeat was Josh Burke, who allowed only one run while striking out eight.
David Glaude got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Burke ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
