Joe Holden collected three hits as the Somerset Patriots (20-23) took home a 4-1 victory over the Sugar Land Skeeters (17-25) at Constellation Field, Sugar Land on Saturday.

Roy Merritt struck out three, paving the way for a the Somerset Patriots win. Merritt allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over five innings.

Sean Morgan brought the heat against the Somerset Patriots during his outing. The Somerset Patriots managed just one hit off of Morgan, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Heath Phillips ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
