Everett vs Peninsula Oilers: 3-1

Boxscore | Game Recap | Boxscore Text Version | Gamelive Version

The Everett hang on against the Peninsula Oilers, 3-1

Story by Narrative Science.

The Peninsula Oilers (3-3) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Everett (5-4), and the Peninsula Oilers lost 3-1 to the Everett after falling behind by three runs in the third inning.

The Peninsula Oilers scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Trey Richardson. Still, the Peninsula Oilers couldn't catch the Everett.

It was a good day at the plate for the Everett's Aaron Gates. Gates went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

The Everett relied on Brooks Roy to eat up innings en route to the win. Roy pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out three.

Chris Kono ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
