The Everett seventh-inning burst enough to top the Anchorage Bucs, 9-3

A five-run explosion in the seventh inning hoisted the Everett (5-4) to a 9-3 win over the Anchorage Bucs (4-2) at Mulcahy Field on Saturday.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with five lead changes.

The Everett pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. A fielder's choice scored Keegan Acker and David Amberson and gave the Everett the lead for good.

Bo Fulkinga had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the second and seventh innings and doubled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Gunner Swanson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings. Swanson struck out six, walked three and gave up nine hits.

Nick Piscotty (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

The Everett were sparked by Fulkinga and Alex Potts, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
