Gates went 1-2 as the Everett (5-4) took home a 5-1 victory over the Anchorage Bucs (4-2) at Mulcahy Field on Monday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Anchorage Bucs' Drake Roberts. Roberts went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning.

Andrew Ferreira looked sharp on the mound. Ferreira held the Everett hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Nick Piscotty couldn't get it done on the mound for the Anchorage Bucs, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
