The Anchorage Bucs beat up on the Elmendorf Eagles, 13-1

The Anchorage Bucs (4-2) continued to pile up the runs on Monday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 13-1 landslide win over the Elmendorf Eagles (0-1) at Mulcahy Field.

The Anchorage Bucs scored five runs in the eighth on a two-run single by Chase Compton, a hit by pitch, , a hit by pitch, and a two-run single by Garrett Mattlage.

Zach Esquerra had three extra-base hits for the Anchorage Bucs. He tripled in the third inning.

The Elmendorf Eagles couldn't get anything going as long as Mike Theodore was pitching. Theodore held the Elmendorf Eagles hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven.

Hunter Greenwood got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered no hits.

The Anchorage Bucs' Mattlage, Esquerra, Parker Hipp and Compton combined for nine hits and eight RBIs.

Max Mccorvie-Newhard ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked one and struck out five.
