The Chugiak Chinooks (17-22) took the last of six lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Matsu Miners (16-24), securing a 6-4 victory on Monday at Hermon Brothers Field.
Scott Kalamar racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Chugiak Chinooks. He homered in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Andrew Work looked sharp on the mound. The Matsu Miners managed just three hits off of the the Chugiak Chinooks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Clint Freeman was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
