A walk-off single from Kevin Swick brought home the winning run for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (23-11) in an 8-7 victory over the Matsu Miners (13-20) at Mulcahy Field on Monday.
Swick reached base four times. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the first and ninth innings.
Tyler Spoon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He homered in the fourth inning.
The Matsu Miners were led by Bobby Boyd's hitting. Boyd went 3-5 and drove in one. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the seventh and ninth innings.
Travis Pitcher got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Pitcher struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.
Clint Freeman couldn't get it done on the bump for the Matsu Miners, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed one run.
