The Chugiak Chinooks (13-15) built an early lead against the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (18-11), scoring four runs in the first inning, en route to a 7-4 win on Saturday at Loretta French Field.
Drew Turbin racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Chugiak Chinooks. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
It was a good day at the plate for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots' Chris Mariscal. Mariscal went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.
Ryan Sullivan got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Sullivan struck out one, walked none and gave up four hits.
Christian Belleque (0-2) took the loss for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
