J.D. Salles kept the Chugiak Chinooks (10-13) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Peninsula Oilers (15-9) beat the Chugiak Chinooks, 5-3.

Salles allowed four hits, one walk and struck out six.

The Peninsula Oilers staved off the Chugiak Chinooks as the Chugiak Chinooks were unable to match the Peninsula Oilers down the stretch.

The Chugiak Chinooks scored on a groundout by Tyler Shryrock in the eighth inning and a single by Jeffrey Turbin and an RBI single by Drew Turbin in the ninth inning. Still, the Chugiak Chinooks couldn't catch the Peninsula Oilers.

Jeff Yamaguchi was solid at the plate for the Peninsula Oilers. Yamaguchi went 3-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Caleb Dirks couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Chugiak Chinooks, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
