A walk-off single from TJ Bennett brought home the winning run for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (11-7) in a 7-6 victory over the Anchorage Bucs (9-8) in 11 innings at Mulcahy Field on Thursday.
Tyler Spoon had four extra-base hits for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He doubled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.
Trey Teakell baffled the Anchorage Bucs, striking out nine batters. Teakell allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Jesse DeLong got the win, running his season record to 1-0. DeLong struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Austen Williams couldn't get it done on the hill for the Anchorage Bucs, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
