Jake Long kept the Alaska Goldpanners (5-7) off the board during his six innings of work and the Matsu Miners (6-13) beat the Alaska Goldpanners, 4-1.

Long allowed three hits, one walk and struck out seven.

The Matsu Miners' Clint Freeman was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.

Jack Vander Linden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
