Ben Doucette kept the Chugiak Chinooks (8-7) off the board during his six innings of work and the Anchorage Bucs (8-5) beat the Chugiak Chinooks, 9-1.
Doucette struck out three and allowed one walk and one hit.
The Anchorage Bucs blew out the Chugiak Chinooks thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Anchorage Bucs scored three runs in the seventh on a solo home run by Chase Compton and a two-run home run by Collin Ferguson.
Jordan Brink had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the sixth and seventh innings.
Kelby Deerman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Chugiak Chinooks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
Ferguson, Stephen Wadsworth, Compton and Brink helped lead the Anchorage Bucs. They combined for seven hits and five RBIs.
