The Anchorage Bucs top the Peninsula Oilers in back-and-forth affair, 8-6

After six lead changes in Thursday's game at Mulcahy Field, the Anchorage Bucs (6-4) finally pulled out a 8-6 win over the Peninsula Oilers (8-6).

The Anchorage Bucs finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. A sacrifice fly by Jordan Brink scored Garrett Mattlage and gave the Anchorage Bucs the lead for good.

The Anchorage Bucs held off the Peninsula Oilers, as the Peninsula Oilers were unable to overcome a five-run sixth inning deficit.

The Peninsula Oilers scored three runs in the seventh on a two-run error and an RBI single by Oscar Sanay. Still, the Peninsula Oilers couldn't draw even.

Chase Compton racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Anchorage Bucs. He doubled in the first inning, tripled in the fifth inning, and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Jacob Rhame got the win for the Anchorage Bucs. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered four hits.

NIigel Nootbaar couldn't get it done on the mound for the Peninsula Oilers, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
