Things looked bleak for the Chugiak Chinooks (5-3) when they trailed by two runs in the eighth inning, but the Chugiak Chinooks recovered thanks to a key double in the eighth inning from Axel Johnson to pull out a 6-5 win over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (4-4) at Mulcahy Field.
With the score tied at three, Johnson came to the plate and doubled, bringing home Scott Kaplan and Tyler Spoon.
