The Matsu Miners (3-8) and the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (4-4) exchanged the lead seven times on Friday, but the Matsu Miners ended up on top with a 9-7 win over the Anchorage Glacier Pilots.

Bobby Boyd boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Matsu Miners. He singled in the third, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots couldn't get anything going so long as Aaron Luchterhand was on the hill. Luchterhand held the Anchorage Glacier Pilots hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Kevin Cornelius had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Trevor Bayless couldn't get it done on the mound for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
