The Peninsula Oilers need walk-off to beat the Matsu Miners, 3-2

A walk-off from Josh Miller brought home the winning run for the Peninsula Oilers (10-7) in a 3-2 victory over the Matsu Miners (5-12) in 10 innings at Coral Seymour Memorial Park on Tuesday.

Miller reached base three times in the game for the Peninsula Oilers. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the third and ninth innings.

Alex Staehely reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

J.D. Salles handled the Matsu Miners' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Salles allowed two earned runs, seven hits and one walk over seven innings.

John Straka recorded his first win of the year for the Peninsula Oilers. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Nick Laroy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
