The Anchorage Bucs (6-4) outlasted the Anchorage Glacier Pilots (5-4) on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 7-3 win at Mulcahy Field.

The Anchorage Bucs pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. Scored Ryan Leonards and gave the Anchorage Bucs the lead for good.

Chase Compton was solid at the plate for the Anchorage Bucs. Compton went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.

The Anchorage Glacier Pilots couldn't get anything going as long as Braden Shipley was on the mound. Shipley held the Anchorage Glacier Pilots hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Trey Teakell was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Anchorage Bucs batters and allowing two runs.

Jeff Grijalva got the win for the Anchorage Bucs. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Trevor Bayless took the loss for the Anchorage Glacier Pilots. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
