The Atwater Aviators (24-17) scored six runs in the eighth to cap a 12-4 win over the Sacramento Scorch (9-23) on Friday.

Matt McKinnon helped the Atwater Aviators pull ahead for the duration in the sixth inning. After Matthew Farias doubled, McKinnon singled, bringing home Farias.

Farias racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Atwater Aviators. He doubled in the sixth inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Zack Speer got the win, running his season record to 4-2. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Speer struck out eight, walked two and gave up nine hits.

Chris Daniels (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out four.
