The Atwater Aviators (16-10) and the Menlo Park Legends both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Atwater Aviators that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win at Fireman_apos;s Memorial Ballpar.
The Menlo Park Legends couldn't get anything going so long as Zack Speer was on the hill. Speer held the Menlo Park Legends hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Jeremiah was solid at the plate for the Menlo Park Legends. Jeremiah went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Chris Van Dyke got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Van Dyke struck out four, walked one and gave up four hits.
Olmsted took the loss for the Menlo Park Legends. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
