Matt Vera brought home the go-ahead run to give the California Glory (23-12) the lead in the eighth inning, as the California Glory hung on to beat the Sacramento Ms 7-4 on Tuesday.
After David Hamlett, Vera came to the plate with the score tied at four in the eighth inning, and grounded out, bringing home Hamlett.Hamlett racked up two RBIs on two hits for the California Glory. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning.
Andrew Dughi got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Dughi struck out one, walked two and gave up four hits.
AJ took the loss for the Sacramento Ms. He allowed seven runs in 7 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out seven.
