The California Glory (17-10) and the Atwater Aviators (16-10) volleyed the lead four times on Wednesday, but the California Glory came out on top for a 8-6 win on Wednesday at Tony Zupo Field.

The California Glory would not relinquish the lead as the Atwater Aviators were unable to weather a three-run sixth inning deficit.

The Atwater Aviators scored on in the seventh inning and an RBI single by Beau Bozett and an RBI double by Ian Yetsko in the eighth inning. Still, the Atwater Aviators couldn't catch the California Glory.

Tyler Shepherd racked up three RBIs on two hits for the California Glory. He singled in the sixth inning.

Brandon Nicholson improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the California Glory. Nicholson struck out none, walked one and gave up one hit.

Zack Speer was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out seven.
