Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Marysville Goldsox outscored the Auburn Wildcats (25-15) 10-8.

The Auburn Wildcats scored on a two-run single by Gibby Briones in the fifth inning, a passed ball in the seventh inning, , , a single by Jorden Newton, and a two-run single by Shane Martin in the eighth inning, and a solo home run by Michael Durham in the ninth inning. Still, the Auburn Wildcats couldn't catch the Marysville Goldsox.
Romero racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Marysville Goldsox. He singled in the first and fourth innings and homered in the sixth inning.
Bevavqua got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered five hits.
Chad Hodges (2-2) took the loss for the Auburn Wildcats. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out three.
