The Lincoln Saltdogs make the most of 12 hits in 9-5 victory over the Newark Bears

The Lincoln Saltdogs and the Newark Bears (32-62) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Lincoln Saltdogs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 9-5 win at Bears_Eagles Riverfront Stadium.

Jimmy Rohan racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Lincoln Saltdogs. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fourth inning.

The Newark Bears had no answer for Pete Parise, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Parise held the Newark Bears hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Dan Coury racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Newark Bears. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Tony Butler got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over five innings. Butler struck out three, walked three and gave up eight hits.

Greg Lane couldn't get it done on the hill for the Newark Bears, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked none and struck out none.
