An outstanding effort by Steve Brown lifted the Quebec Capitales (45-25) to an 11-6 win over the Sioux Falls Pheasants on Wednesday at Sioux Falls Stadium.
Brown blasted two home runs for the Quebec Capitales. Brown went 3-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Brown homered in the fifth and seventh innings.
The Quebec Capitales found themselves down in the fourth inning but managed to fight back and claim the win.
Cory Morales reached base four times in the game for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second, fourth, and ninth innings.
Tony Davis improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Quebec Capitales. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Dan Cooper took the loss for the Sioux Falls Pheasants. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
