Jeff Lanning went 2-2, sparking the New Jersey Jackals (37-27) to a 3-1 victory over the Worcester Tornadoes (18-46) on Monday at Yogi Berra Stadium.

He singled in the second and fourth innings.

The Worcester Tornadoes had no answer for Isaac Pavlik, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Worcester Tornadoes managed just three hits off of Pavlik, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Walker McKinven (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
