The Quebec Capitales' offense erupts for 15 runs in blowout victory over the Newark Bears

The Quebec Capitales (30-13) continued to pile up the runs on Tuesday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 15-5 landslide win over the Newark Bears (15-30) at Le Stade Municipal.

The Quebec Capitales scored seven runs in the fourth on , , a groundout by Jeff Helps, an error, an error, and a two-run home run by Sebastien Boucher.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Quebec Capitales pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning. Scored Robert Wagner and gave the Quebec Capitales the lead for good.

Boucher had a busy day at the plate, collecting four extra-base hits.

The Newark Bears had no answer for Chad Jones, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Jones held the Newark Bears hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

John Mariotti recorded his sixth win for the Quebec Capitales even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Caleb Cuevas (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 13 runs in six innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Quebec Capitales pounded the Newark Bears pitching, as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
