An ace performance by Isaac Pavlik carried the New Jersey Jackals (22-15) to a 3-0 win over the Quebec Capitales (25-13) on Tuesday at Yogi Berra Stadium.
Pavlik held the Quebec Capitales scoreless for eight innings. Pavlik allowed five hits, two walks and struck out eight.
Matt Cusick was solid at the plate for the New Jersey Jackals. Cusick went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third and sixth innings and homered in the eighth inning.
Karl Gelinas couldn't get it done on the bump for the Quebec Capitales, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
