Friday was a great day for Jonathan Malo, as he hit two home runs to carry the Quebec Les Capitales (23-11) to a 9-4 victory over the Rockland Boulders (14-18) at Provident Bank Park.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the sixth, with five lead changes.

The Rockland Boulders couldn't get anything going as long as Chad Jones was pitching. Jones held the Rockland Boulders hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

John Mariotti recorded his fourth win of the year for the Quebec Les Capitales. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked four and surrendered four hits.

Dan Jurik (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.

The Quebec Les Capitales' Jeff Helps, James Roche, Malo and Patrick DAoust combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.
