An awesome effort by Bobby Blevins hoisted the Rockland (9-11) to a 12-2 win over the Worcester (7-11) on Friday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.
Blevins racked up 10 strikeouts in the the Rockland win. Blevins allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks over nine innings.
The Rockland ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Rockland scored four runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Rockland scored three runs in the ninth on a two-run home run by Ryan Mollica and a groundout by Cole Kraft.
Keith Brachold racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Rockland. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Jose Canseco racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Worcester. He homered in the fourth inning.
Dan Sausville couldn't get it done on the hill for the Worcester, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked none and struck out two.
