The Rockland (8-11) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 14-1 win over the Newark (8-12) at Bears _ Eagles Riverfront Stadi.
A two-run home run by Jon Smith and a three-run home run by Ryan Mollica helped the Rockland score five runs in the fourth. The Rockland had five hits in the inning.
Mollica racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Rockland.
Dan Jurik brought the heat against the Newark during his outing. The Newark managed just three hits off of the the Rockland's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Alex Smith couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Newark, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.
The Rockland pounded the Newark pitching, as seven hitters combined for 17 hits, 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
