Ryan Scoma had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth and seventh innings.
Bryce Lane racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Newark (12-24). He homered in the fourth inning.
Julian Sampson recorded his third win for the Rockland even though he allowed five runs over five innings. Sampson struck out four, walked four and gave up five hits.
Caleb Cuevas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
