The Rockland fight back, defeat the Worcester , 6-4

Things looked bleak for the Rockland (4-6) when they trailed by four runs in the sixth inning, but the Rockland recovered thanks to a key single in the eighth inning from Ryan Scoma to pull out a 6-4 win over the Worcester (3-5) at Provident Bank Park.

With the score tied at four, Scoma came to the plate and singled, bringing home Matt Nandin.

Scoma racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rockland . He singled in the seventh and eighth innings.

Todd Gossage was solid at the plate for the Rockland . Gossage went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Worcester had no answer for Garrett Johnson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Worcester managed just one hit off of the the Rockland 's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Phil Negus couldn't get it done on the bump for the Worcester , taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The top of the second saw the Worcester take an early lead, 1-0. A double by Johnny Welch, scoring Alex Trezza started the inning off.

The Rockland pushed across three runs in both the seventh inning and the eighth. In the seventh, the Rockland scored on an RBI single by Scoma, bringing home Cole Kraft.

The Rockland went up for good in the eighth, scoring three runs on a solo home run by Gossage and two singles.
